Would you Obey or Confront?
It’s a very ethical issue in life when we have to take a stance of obedience vs. confrontation. It depends on the issue that is being addressed and valued that one holds in life.
There is no obedience which is right or no
confrontation which is wrong. Hence it would be a wrong stance to take if one
is pitched against the other.
It also depends on the mood that one is in, the
person that one is dealing with and mostly the issue that is being addressed.
Obedience means to surrender or agree to a view
point one believes in it strongly.
Confrontation is the rebel, disagreement with a view
point because one believes in it strongly.
Many times we are struggling in a situation whether
to obey or confront the issue.
Obedience also has a moralistic meaning where if you
obey you are consider good and if you confront you are consider bad.
I would personally say that both the choices are
okay depending on the situation and what value you hold for yourself.
At times anger is considered bad but anger and propensity to bring about a change hence confrontation may also propel somebody towards change or transformation.
