What do I do with all the New Year Resolutions?
New Year is here and all of us automatically get into a mindset of what will be my resolution for this year.
We all are very enthusiastic and excited about taking new
steps improving on something in life and taking some tiny steps to grow an inch
taller than who I am as an individual.
This enthusiasm lasts for a couple of days, a couple of
weeks, and then it tapers down as if it never existed.
For me, my new year resolution is that I am going to look
after my body in a more compassionate way than what I have done over the last
few years.
I have not given any respite or space to allow it to rest
or breathe some fresh air. I have been very demanding, very forceful, and very
pushy to my body its routine, and the discipline that comes with it.
I have not nourished it with love and care or pampered it
for it to just be.
All of us have some personal some physical, some social,
some professional gaps to be fulfilled for us to grow as human beings.
If I am an aware person I will try to identify what those
gaps are and try to fill them up to the best of my ability.
However, most times such promises are made but forgotten
with due course of time only of issues which are too important or too deep-rooted then only one really handles it or tackles it with serious want.
So what is your new year’s resolution that is deep-rooted
and you will deeply commit to it irrespective of the hurdles or the blocks that
come your way.
This is your one process of growing up as aware and
responsible individuals towards themselves and towards themselves.
Otherwise, they only live in a where consumption and fun
the primary motives to mankind.

ReplyDeleteWonderful way to start the fresh year!
I too do not live up to the resolutions...and have stopped making resolutions.
But yes, I am watching my thoughts and actions closely.
I am taking time and giving me time to build responses than reacting.
That's the way I am trying to make this year healthy for me and others around me.
Great.
